- Delhi Daredevils registered their eighth win in ten games in the second edition of the IPL, ensuring their place in the semi-finals.

- Delhi Daredevils have now 16 points in ten games - the most by any side in the second edition of the IPL.

- Delhi Daredevils' sequence of four wins between May 5 and May 13, 2009 is their best ever in the IPL.

- Deccan Chargers have won six and lost five out of eleven games. With 12 points, they are third in the points table behind Delhi (16) and Chennai (13).


- Delhi Daredevils' 173 for seven is their second best score against Deccan Chargers in the IPL - their best being 194 for four at Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi last year.

- Delhi's aforesaid total is their second best in the 2009 edition of the IPL - their best being 189 for five against Chennai at Durban on April 23, 2009.

- Delhi Daredevils have now won all their four games against Deccan Chargers - by 9 wickets at Hyderabad; by 12 runs at Delhi, by 6 wickets at Centurion Park and by 12 runs at Durban.

- Adam Gilchrist, with five sixes, took his tally of sixes to 21 in the second edition of the IPL - the most by any batsman, surpassing Matthew Hayden's tally of 17.

- Gilchrist, with his 64 off 33 balls, has taken his run-aggregate in the 2009 edition of the IPL to 329 at an average of 29.90, including two fifties in eleven games.

- Gilchrist is now the leading run-getter in the IPL - 765 at an average of 33.26, including one century and five fifties.

- Gilchrist, with five sixes, has established a record for most sixes in the IPL - 40, eclipsing Yusuf Pathan's tally of 37.

- Gilchrist has completed his 1,000 runs in Twenty20 - 1037 at an average of 28.80, including one century and five fifties in 38 games.

- Gautam Gambhir, with his 19 off 25 balls, has taken his run-aggregate to 730 at an average of 34.76 in 24 IPL games, emulating Suresh Raina's aggregate of 730 at an average of 36.50 in 25 matches. Both Gambhir and Raina share the second place for the highest run-aggregate in the IPL.

- Tillakaratne Dilshan has batted splendidly so far in the second edition of the IPL, aggregating 286 runs at an average of 47.66, including three fifties, in ten games.

- Dilshan, in the sixth over of Delhi Daredevils' innings, hit - 4, 6, 2, 4, 4 and 4 off Shoaib. By hitting 24 runs in Shoaib's over, he has equalled the record for most runs in one over in the second edition of the IPL.

- Abraham de Villiers became the first batsman from Delhi Daredevils to aggregate 300 runs in the second edition of the IPL - 315 at an average of 63.00, including one century and two fifties.

- De Villiers' tally of 315 is bettered only by Matthew Hayden (426) and Gilchrist (329). Apart from Hayden, Gilchrist and Villiers, Suresh Raina (309) is the only other batsman to make 300 runs in the 2009 edition of the IPL.

- Dinesh Karthik, thanks to his outstanding innings of 44 not out off 23 balls, took his run-aggregate to 193 at an average of 38.60 in eight innings in the second edition of the IPL.

- Chaminda Vaas (4-0-52-2) has recorded the most expensive bowling figures in the 2009 edition of the IPL, surpassing Jacques Kallis' figures (4-0-51-1) for Bangalore against Punjab at Kingsmead, Durban on April 24, 2009.

- Sangwan (3/18) has produced his best bowling performance in the IPL, bettering the 3 for 28 against Chennai Super Kings at Kingsmead, Durban on April 23, 2009.

- Rajat Bhatia (4/15) has produced his best bowling performance in the IPL/Twenty20, bettering the 3 for 15 against Mumbai Indians at East London on May 8, 2009.

- Rajat has been adjudged the Man of the Match for the first time in the IPL.
