The
Rajasthan Royals have continued to spread their magic on their opponents. The team seems to have no stopping now. They have already made their place in the semi-finals by securing 8 wins out of 10 matches. Today’s win over the
Bangalore Royal Challengers was massive, with a margin of 65 runs. The Bangalore team however was seen to play sloppily again today and have lost their chance of going to the semi-finals.
The team of the Bangalore Royal Challengers headed by Rahul Dravid won the toss today and chose to field first. The team however did not perform up to their expectations. It seems they came out on the field without any planning. Exhibition of sloppy fielding and dropped catches was on display today by them. They could only get one wicket of the Rajasthan Royals, Asnodkar who also scored 50 runs. Smith however stayed on the field in the full twenty overs and made 75 runs off 49 deliveries. Watson too scored 46 runs off 28 balls and the team made a total score of 197 runs.
It seemed difficult for the Bangalore team to chase this score as their start was really bad. The team lost its initial batsmen way too soon. The team was in a situation of 5 runs fro 3 wickets so it was a task for them that time onwards. Only one man performed today in this team and it was Dravid. Despite all the pressures, he remained his usual self, like a wall, and made 75 runs off 36 balls. However, the second best score in the team was that of Kallis and it was 20 runs. The team could not survive the attack of the Royals of Rajasthan and was all out at a score of 132 runs. Dravid however remained unbeaten till the end. Smith was awarded the man of the match for his performance with the bat.
